鋼のように澄みわたる大空のまん中で
月がすすり泣いている．
・・・けがらわしい地球の陰影が
自分の顔にうつるとて…
それを大勢の人間から見られるとて・・・
・・・身ぶるいして嫌がっている．
In the center of the clear sky like steel,
The moon is sobbing.
The shadow of the nasty earth is reflected in her face.
That is seen by a lot of people.
So, she is disgusted shudderingly.

・・・しかし・・・
逃れられぬ暗い運命は・・・
刻々彼女に迫って来る．
大空のただ中に・・・
... But ...
The inevitable dark destiny is drawing to her minute by minute,
In the heart of the sky.

・・・はじまった・・・
月蝕が・・・
A lunar eclipse has begun.

彼女はいつとなく死相をあらわして来た．水々しい生白い頬・・・
・・・目に見えぬ髪毛を、長々と地平線まで引きはえた・・・
それが冷たく・・・美しく・・・透きとおる・・・
コメカミのあたりから水気が・・・ヒッソリとしたたる．
She has started to show the seal of death on her face without the people's noticing.
Her cheeks are fresh and fair ...
Her invisible hair has extended long to the horizon.
It is cold, beautiful and transparent.
From around her temple, the moisture is trickling silently.

彼女はもう・・・
仕方がないとあきらめて
暗い・・・醜い運命の手に・・・
自分の美をまかせてしまうつもりらしい．
She has already given up unwillingly.
It seems that she intends to resign her beauty to the dark and ugly fate.

顎のあたりが
すこしばかり切り欠かれる
・・・黒い血がムルムルと湧く．
・・・暗い腥いにおいが大空に流れ出す．
・・・それが一面に地平線まで拡がってゆく．
彼女を取巻く星の光がギラギラと冴えかえった．
A place around her chin is cut off a little bit.
... Black blood gushes out.
... Dark bloody smell flows into the sky.
... It expands all over to the horizon.
The starlight around her has glared again.

彼女の瞼が一しきりふるえて
やがて力なく黒ずんで来る．
鼻の横に黒い血の塊が盛り上る
・・・深く斬込まれた刃の蔭に
赤茶気た肉がヒクヒク．
Her eyelid quivers for a while.
And soon, it becomes black weakly.
A clot of black blood swells on a side of her nose.
... In the shade of a sword cutting deeply,
Her reddish-brown flesh twitches.

世界は暗くなった．
全ての生物は鉛のように重たく
針のように痛々しい心を
ジッと抱いて動かなくなった．
The world has become dark.
All creatures have stopped moving,
With a mind which is heavy like lead and which is pitiful like a needle.

けれども暗い・・・鋼鉄よりもよく切れる円形の刃は
彼女の青ざめた横頬を
なおもズンズンと斬り込んでゆく．
そこから溢れ出る暗い・・・腥いにおいにすべては溺れ込んでゆく．
・・・山も・・・海も・・・森も・・・家も・・・道路も・・・
・・・そこいらから見上げている人間たちも・・・
However, the dark circular edge which is sharper than steel is cutting further her pale profile rapidly.
Everything is drowning in the dark and bloody smell which is flowing out from that.
... with mountains ... with oceans ... with forests ... with houses ... with roads ...
... with people who look up around there ...

その中にただ一つ残る白い光・・・
彼女の額と鼻すじが
もうすこしで・・・
黒い刃の蔭に蔽われそうになった．
Only a bright light remains there.
Her forehead and nose have been nearly covered in the shade of the black sword.

空一面の夥しい星が
小さな声で囁き合って
又ヒッソリと静まった．
A lot of stars in the sky whisper with each other and become quiet again.

陰惨な最後の時・・・
顔を蔽いつくす血の下に
観念して閉じていた白い瞼を
パッチリと彼女は見開いた．
It is the horrible last moment ...
Under the blood covering her face,
She has widely opened her white lids which were closed resignedly.

案外に平気な顔で
下界の人々を流し眼に見まわした
ニッコリと笑った．
Unexpectedly with her cool face,
She has looked around the people in the lower world with a sidelong glance.
She has smiled.

・・・ホホホホホホホ・・・
これはお芝居なのよ．
・・・大空の影と光の・・・
だから妾は痛くも苦しくも・・・
・・・何ともないのよ・・・
そうしてもうじきおしまいになるのよ．
... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ...
This is a play of the shadow and light in the sky.
So, I have no ache nor pain.
... no problem ...
And it will end soon.

・・・あたし名優でしょう・・・
